When we look at the bedroom today, there's a lot of blame being thrown around. Everybody has some form of a "victim" mentality, especially if things haven't been going their way sexually for a while.
That can show up as blaming your lack of erection on your mindset, the thoughts in your head, or the response of your woman.
It can show up as blaming your inability to last on tight muscles, genetics, or bad luck.
Maybe you blame her lack of satisfaction on her traumatic past, or her hormones, or "her just not being a sexual person."
And you might be blaming the fact that it's been 6 months since the two of you had sex on stress, or the kids, or she's just not "in the mood."
Now I could nod my head and say, "Yes, you're right, of course that's what it is."
But I'd just be lying to you. Because while all of that may have elements of truth to it, they aren't the biggest issue.
The biggest issue is you.
Who's in charge of your erection anyway, the mailman?
That sudden surge in ejaculation doesn't come from someone else, does it?
At every stage, whether getting hard or leading the sexual interaction, you are the common denominator.
You. Nobody else.
Guess what then? That means YOU have the power to shift things. Nobody else.
The actions need to come from you. You can't abdicate the responsibility for your sex life to her. You need to start making yourself a priority.
Start asking yourself:
- What is it I want to shift, have, or change?
- What am I willing to do to move one step closer to having more of what I want?
Two questions that could unlock a new world of possibilities, and allow for better strategies to make them a reality.
Stop playing the victim. Accept what is, and then start asking yourself those questions. The answers you get will tell you where to go next.
